Wichita Ministry House

The original house. The proof of concept. The work that started it all.

The Wichita Ministry House has been our anchor since 2018. It’s where the work started, and it’s where the model was proven: a structured, faith-led home for men coming out of incarceration, addiction, and hard life circumstances.

What happens inside these walls is hard to explain in words. Men who arrived with nothing — no job, no family trust, no sense of who they were outside their past — have left with a restored identity, real relationships, and a future worth fighting for. That transformation doesn’t happen by accident. It happens through structure, accountability, and the kind of community that only a live-in household of men pursuing the same thing can build.

Currently home to 11 residents.

The Program

What life looks like at the Wichita house.

Wichita is a one-year, live-in discipleship program for men coming out of incarceration, off the streets, or wanting real accountability for a hurt, habit, or hang-up that has taken hold of their life. It is structured, it is faith-led, and it asks something real of every man who walks through the door.

  • One-year commitment. This is a full year of live-in residency — not a short-term shelter stay.
  • House structure. Residents follow house rules, a curfew, and a shared chore rotation.
  • $125 per week for expenses. Covers room, board, and program costs.
  • Work or community service required. Residents must hold a job, or complete 20 hours of community service a week, until they land full-time employment.
  • Morning devotional, Monday–Friday. A daily rhythm of scripture and prayer together as a house.
  • Wednesday evening services. Residents attend church together every Wednesday night.
  • Celebrate Recovery, Thursday nights. A Christ-centered recovery program for anyone working through hurts, habits, and hang-ups.
